If you want to save that patch for future use in other projects, make sure the track with the instrument is selected and then click Save at the bottom of the Library pane to save the patch on your computer. Once GarageBand is ready, the synth instrument will be available as patch in the project. Logic Pro for iPad includes all of your favourite GarageBand for iOS features, such as a huge library of sounds, software instruments you can play on-screen, tools for beat creation, plug-ins to shape sounds and a lot more. You may be prompted to download some additional components to support the new instrument.
Then import that project to your Mac and open in the Mac version of GarageBand. You can create a GarageBand project on your iOS device, using an Alchemy synth instrument in a track. Here's a cool tip I discovered in case it helps anyone. This would explain why the iOS version of GarageBand seems to have a lot more synth options than the Mac version.

I prefer to work on my Mac so I can connect a hardware MIDI keyboard. Does anyone know why this is? More importantly, is there a way to get all of the iOS synths on the Mac version? There are a lot more synths to choose from on the iOS version than there are on the Mac version of GarageBand. Just getting started with LX and I cant seem to find the Garageband Instruments anymore in the channel strip Instrument pop-up menu. I downloaded the complete sound libraries on both my Mac and iOS and noticed there is a big difference in the synths that are available in the two versions.
